Franco Serblin brings Accordo Goldberg speaker to UK
Taking its name from Bach’s Goldberg Variations, the Accordo Goldberg is inspired by the company’s Accordo standmount. Enlarging its form and incorporating a 29mm silk dome tweeter by Ragnar Lian and a 180mm mid/bass driver with a microsphere cone and aluminium dust cap, the two-way speaker has a claimed sensitivity of 87dB and nominal impedance of 4ohm. Its solid walnut cabinet takes its inspiration from the design of fine stringed instruments, while its asymmetric shape and aluminium-magnesium decouplers are said to eradicate sonically deleterious effects of internal standing waves and cabinet resonance.
Handcrafted in Italy with signature Serblin touches such as the etched chrome and ‘string’ grille, the Accordo Goldberg is 190 x 360 x 360mm (WxHxD)and weighs 25kg per pair. Matching stands cost £2,800.
Available to buy now for £8,888 in the UK courtesy of Absolute Sounds, you can find out more about the Accordo Goldberg here.
